By becoming a member of Paidpolls, you commit to reading this Privacy Policy and complying with its terms. The service is provided by Cint AB in cooperation with Liidimedia Oy. By registering, you accept this Privacy Policy, Cint AB’s Privacy Policy, and the Terms of Use of Paidpolls and Cint Terms of use.

This policy and Cint AB’s privacy policy complement each other and do not exclude one another. The purpose of both is to ensure that user data is processed in a transparent and lawful manner.

1. General

To provide our services and manage your membership, we must collect and process certain personal data about you. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. This Policy also serves as information under Articles 13–14 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Data may be collected both directly from you and automatically through use of the service.

Liidimedia Oy and Cint AB process your data in line with this Policy, Cint’s Privacy Policy, and applicable law.

This Policy does not apply to third-party services accessible via links. We recommend reviewing each third party’s privacy policy separately.

2. Data controllers and joint responsibility

The processing of data in Paidpolls is carried out jointly by Cint AB and Liidimedia Oy. Roles and responsibilities are defined in an agreement between the companies in accordance with Article 26 of the GDPR.

Cint AB is the primary controller for the membership register and for conducting market research projects.
Liidimedia Oy may act as a joint controller or as a processor, depending on the nature of processing (e.g. customer communication and marketing).

3. Data collected

We may collect the following data:

  • Contact details: name, email address, postal address, phone number (optional)
  • Profile details: date of birth/age, gender, place of residence, education, interests, response history
  • Technical details: IP address, device type, browser, cookies and log data
  • Survey and research responses: including sensitive data if you voluntarily provide it
  • Service use details: registration time, username
  • Other voluntary data related to research projects

Data are mainly collected directly from you when registering and using the service, but also automatically via cookies and logs.

4. Purposes and legal basis

Data are used for:

  • Sending invitations and managing rewards
  • Carrying out surveys and projects
  • Participation in prize draws (where permitted)
  • Fulfilment of contractual obligations
  • Compliance with legal obligations (e.g. accounting)
  • Customer communication and support
  • Development of the service
  • Targeted marketing (based on consent or legitimate interest)

5. Disclosure of data

As a member, you may receive invitations from multiple market research companies and panel networks. The service may be run with several partners simultaneously.

Data may be disclosed to:

  • Cint AB and other selected partners
  • Subcontractors (technical services, payments, customer support, marketing)
  • Authorities where required by law
  • In the event of business transfers, if the data form part of the transaction

All partners sign agreements in accordance with the GDPR.

6. Transfers outside the EU/EEA

Data may be transferred outside the EU/EEA via Cint or its partners. In such cases, approved mechanisms will be used:

  • European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses
  • EU–US Data Privacy Framework
  • Other legally required safeguards

7. Retention period

We retain your data for as long as you remain a member. Inactive accounts may be deleted or anonymised after 12 months of inactivity.

8. Security

We apply technical and organisational measures, including:

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS, TLS)
  • Physical server protection
  • Access controls
  • Backups and logging
  • Staff training

Our partners use their own security measures.

We use cookies for functionality, analytics and marketing.
